On KDRT: Co-op in the pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has closed or curtailed most stores, with the Davis Food Co-op and other grocers among the few exceptions.

365体育投注So — what has it been like to work in the Co-op the last two months? Has the experience changed as shoppers adjusted to new conditions, are there insights here as more stores plan their own reopenings, and why are flour and toilet paper rarely on the shelves?

365体育投注On the latest edition of the KDRT program “Davisville,” host Bill Buchanan talks with two employees of the Davis Food Co-op, the longtime grocer on G Street: Madison Suoja, the co-op’s education and outreach specialist, and Laura Sanchez, the store’s operations manager.

“Davisville” is broadcast on KDRT-LP, 95.7 FM Mondays at 5:30 p.m., Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m., and Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. The Co-op interview began airing Monday, will be broadcast through May 24, and is available online anytime at or on Apple podcasts.
