Self-haul limited at Yolo County central landfill

365体育投注In response to the current COVID-19 public health emergency, effective March 27, the Yolo County Central Landfill, at 44090 County Road 28H in Woodland, will not accept self-haul loads and will only accept business and landfill account customers. For these customers, the landfill will remain open from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Saturday and will be closed on Sundays.

365体育投注Similarly, the Reuse Paint Shed Program will not operate until further notice. County staff will be screening vehicles.

The county health officer advises that residential customers making trips to the landfill may be in violation of the shelter-in-place order. Residents should instead use their curbside collection carts for refuse, recycling and yard waste. For questions regarding self-haul, customers should call 530-666-8727.

In addition, effective March 29, the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be closed to residents. To serve the needs of businesses, hazardous waste appointments will remain available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Friday. Residents aged 65 or older or those with a disability may contact the landfill at 530-666-8813 to schedule a free at-home pickup of hazardous waste. All other landfill programs remain in place.
