Letter: On facemasks

On May 8, the Davis Enterprise published a letter written by Tori Bovard. The topic of the letter was the current mandatory facemask policy for Yolo County. There are some valid points in the letter, but I would like to address another perspective.

For over five years, I have been dealing with an incurable cancer. The chemotherapy medications I take have affected my immune system. It is imperative that I protect myself by wearing a facemask whenever I go outside for any reason.

365体育投注Even though staying home has worked for me, there are times when I have to leave the house. Seeing other people wear face masks helps to ease my anxieties. Scientifically, it may not make sense to some, but it works for me.

Perhaps there are others living in Davis with the same type of situation. Can you wear a mask for my safety and comfort?
